Funnier than they sound... Honestly!

This month I read two books that you would not think were even slightly amusing from the serious subjects they deal with, but they are both really quite funny. Belly-laugh funny.

Devil in the Details: scenes from an obsessive girlhood
(Jennifer Traig)
As an adolescent, she suffered from a hyper-religious form of OCD called scrupulosity. I had never heard of it before, but it certainly made me feel much better about my own mild case of OCD.

Curtains: adventures of an undertaker-in-training
(Tom R. Jokinen)
This former CBC employee spent a year working at a funeral home in Manitoba, to get to the bottom of all things "funereal." If you never thought you could laugh at death and dead bodies, you haven't read this book yet.
